Medicare's July RVU file now available
The CMS July RVU file is now available for download by
clicking here. The RVUs are updated four times per year in January, April, July, and October and can be found on the CMS website.
Star-Plus health plan changes begin Sept. 1
Effective Sept. 1, Wellpoint (formerly Amerigroup) will exit Harris County's STAR+PLUS Medicaid market and be replaced by Community Health Choice. Physicians must contract with the new plan to serve its members. Contact details:

Change Healthcare breach notifications
Change Healthcare has started notifying physicians if their patients' data was compromised in the February cyberattack. CHC will notify affected patients on behalf of physicians unless the physician opts out.
HHS finalizes additional information blocking penalties
The
final rule establishes disincentives/penalties resulting in significant financial impact for health care providers that have committed information blocking, a practice that interferes with, prevents, or materially discourages access, exchange, or use of electronic health information.
