The Francis C. Moore, MD, Medical Journalism Awards are presented annually by the Harris County Medical Society and Houston Academy of Medicine to news reporters in Harris County for excellent local medical and health reporting that increases medical/health awareness and knowledge.
1. Honors: Honors local print and broadcast journalists for excellent medical/health and medical economics reporting.
2. Eligibility: Harris County Newspapers, Periodicals, TV and Radio journalists. Entries published or broadcast between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2009 are eligible.
3. Winners: Awards of Excellence winners receive a $200 cash prize and a trophy. Citation of Merit winners receive a trophy.
4. Fee: There is no fee to enter.
5. Deadline: 5 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010.
